I'm Isabel, and this blog has started out as a uni project. I wanted it to be a project that has meaning for me and I hope it will continue well after the due date. It's taken a number of weeks to get to this point and a week before writing this I didn't know this is what it would be. But, thanks to a long overdue chat with a treasured friend over coffee and a macaron - altruistic herself, although, she'd probably never admit it - the idea was born.
Every now and again I hear of a friend or acquaintance who has decided they want to make a donation to a cause, but, they don't know who to give to. We each have our own soft spots. What I wanted to do was put ideas in one place, that people can peruse, search or sort by whatever takes their fancy.
There are so many people and causes that need help - whether locally, nationally or globally. Donating is one way of helping; volunteering too. Hopefully, this blog will give you more ideas for ways to help, and might tweak the altruist within.
